I took class the first day Bar Method Carmel Mountain opened October 1, 2011! I had considered trying Bar Method, but at the time the closest studio was in Point Loma (too far), so when I heard the studio was opening in Carmel Mountain, I signed up, not knowing what to expect. I thought I was in good shape, but I was wrong, really wrong. After the first class muscles I didn’t know existed ached, but I forced myself to go back and have been hooked ever since. The first month I took class 3 times a week, and surprisingly, my body began to change and my clothes fit better! I had never seen my body change so fast, so I started taking class 4 times a week and have dropped one size in all of my clothes. In addition to losing weight, feeling healthy and active without depriving myself or forcing myself to workout, I enjoy Bar Method because the instructors are extremely inspirational, I like that each person can challenge themselves depending on skill or strength and I love that each exercise has options, so I don’t get tired or bored with the workout.
